Preparing to apply for authorisation of quat-based disinfectants in the EU – what to consider and when to start
Date: 19 January 2022
Time: 08:00 PST | 11:00 EST | 16:00 GMT
Join TSG Consulting’s latest webinar on applying for authorisation of quat-based disinfectants in the EU. Delivered by Séverine Macke and Samantha Walker, US-based companies will gain an insight into the planning and testing required.
Some quaternary ammonium compounds are currently making their way through the EU Biocidal Products Regulation (BPR) review programme. Deadlines to submit authorisation dossiers for antimicrobials based on DDAC and/or ADBAC/BKC (C12-C16) are November 2022 and potentially December 2023 depending on the use.
If you’re a US manufacturer wanting your quat-based products to remain on the EU market, or are planning to launch new ones, it is important to determine the critical product claims and uses, as well as identify the data needed to support such claims. Data requirements in EU are different to those under FIFRA and FDA.
Attend TSG’s webinar to gain an understanding of quat-based disinfectant product authorisation under EU BPR, the strategic decisions that need to be taken, and their timing.
