Principal Regulatory Consultant, Jonathan Walsh, along with Regulatory Consultant Perri Moeller, will provide an insight into US food packaging and manufacturing regulations.
Food contact regulations in the United States are complicated. The Food Quality Protection Act assigns responsibilities to both the FDA and EPA in the protection of food in the US. Jonathan and Perri will explain the responsibilities of each Agency, and options for getting premarket approval.

Meet the presenters
Jonathan Walsh is a Principal Regulatory Consultant providing expert regulatory support to TSG’s antimicrobial clients. Jonathan combines his background in chemistry along with the regulatory experience to review projects and develop successful registration strategies, submit federal registration packages, develop acceptable label claims, and coordinate product testing. In addition, he is an active member of key industry trade associations. Jonathan has a BSc in Chemistry from Florida State University.
Perri Moeller is a Regulatory Consultant supporting clients with US EPA federal regulatory compliance focusing on Antimicrobial Pesticide registrations under the framework of the US Federal Insecticide, Fungicide and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA). Before joining TSG, Perri worked at the US EPA in the registration of FIFRA products. She worked with industry stakeholders in shepherding submission packages through the EPA registration process. Perri gained her Bachelor of Arts in Marine Affairs and Policy, Ecosystem Science and Policy from the University of Miami and her MBA from the University of Maryland.
