Join Principal Regulatory Consultant, Joe McCarthy, who will provide an insight into the new Biocides Regulations in Canada.

Join Joe McCarthy as he breaks down the key changes and implications of the new Canadian Biocides Regulations, which come into force on May 31, 2025.

Currently, biocides in Canada are regulated under three different frameworks depending on their product type: disinfectant, sanitizer or food contact surface sanitizer. The new Biocides Regulations will bring all three product types under a single regulatory framework, applying to all biocides used on hard and soft surfaces. It will not apply to air or water sanitizers or material preservatives.
