Interest in pesticide devices continues to grow, fueled in part by an increased interest from consumers for supplements to, or alternative to, traditional chemical pest control.  Pesticide devices have long been regulated by EPA and several individual states.  The recent influx of new pesticide devices to the market, especially those intended for control of the virus that cause COVID-19, has put renewed emphasis on the regulatory landscape that underpins these products. The pesticide device regulatory landscape contains many gray areas, especially for those companies familiar with the complex registration requirements for traditional chemical pesticides.
