EPA updates Design for the Environment (DfE) logo for consumer products
To refresh EPA’s DfE program, the Agency released an updated logo that can be used on qualifying disinfectant and antimicrobial products. The program, originally expanded in 2009 to include products that sanitize and disinfect, requires that qualifying products meet human health and environmental toxicity standards beyond those required in the normal pesticide registration process.
Consumer demand for environmentally preferred products continues to grow, and the Agency believes this new logo will help bolster EPA’s mission and influence “health-conscious buying decisions”. Click the link to learn more about EPA’s DfE program.
