EPA releases list of disinfectants for use against COVID-19
The United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has released a list of disinfectants that can be used against the emerging novel coronavirus.
EPA has released a list of registered disinfectants that have been qualified for use against SARS-CoV-2. This virus is the novel coronavirus that causes COVID-19.
This list includes products such as aerosol disinfectants, antibacterial wipes and germicidal sprays. To see the full list click here.
These disinfectants are qualified for use through the EPA’s emerging viral pathogen program. This program allows manufacturers to submit data to the EPA showing how efficacious their product is against viruses that are harder to kill so that off-label claims can be made in the instance of an outbreak.
