US EPA approves self-disinfecting textile product
The United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) recently approved a “self-disinfecting” textile product that claims continuous disinfection. This new technology, called
Fabric Treated with Livinguard Technology, can be used to treat textiles and provides permanent disinfection for up to 30 industrial washes. The novel aspect of this product comes from its ability to kill bacteria in 10 minutes and continue to kill for 24 hours and for up to 30 industrial washes. Due it its washable and reusable nature, Livinguard opens a new category of treated textile products with residual efficacy claims.
