Updated draft EU list of prohibited plant protection product and adjuvant product co-formulants

The European Commission has published an updated draft annex amending Regulation (EC) No 1107/2009, which lists plant protection product and adjuvant product co-formulants that are expected to be prohibited in the EU after the annex is approved. Once the amendment enters into force, companies will have a maximum of two years and three months to complete reformulation and registration of replacement products for sale that do not contain the prohibited substances. However, this is a maximum time period as Member States can cancel the authorisations of the co-formulant-containing products earlier, once the amendment enters into force.

The draft annex is open to public comment via the European Commission’s website until 13 February 2020.
