Brexit, pesticide efficacy and regulatory requirements for biocidal control products – focus of launch event for TSG’s German office
TSG Consulting formally launched its new offices in Germany on September 25, 2019.
Located in Hildesheim, Lower Saxony, TSG’s German team specialises in providing a full regulatory efficacy service for the plant protection and biocides industries, with experts also supporting the registration, authorisation and notification of crop protection and biocidal products in the European Union (EU).
Attended by invited guests from industry, the launch included a regulatory-themed conference. Mike Carroll, Principal Plant Protection Consultant, gave an overview of regulatory challenges in EU Plant Protection, covering Brexit, the General Food Law and liability management. Stefanie Wolff, Regulatory Team Lead Germany, and Melina Henne, Senior Regulatory Consultant, provided an overview of the German team’s services relating to pesticide efficacy and national approvals. And Philippe Kuenemann, Managing Director France, discussed specific regulatory requirements for biocontrol products.
"We are delighted that we could share the formal launch of our new offices in Hildesheim with our industry partners," said Daryl Thomas, Managing Director of TSG Consulting in Europe. "We are proud of the breadth of regulatory and scientific expertise assembled at TSG globally, including the team based here in Germany. Mike and Philippe addressed key industry-wide challenges supplemented by a clear articulation of our national services from Stefanie and Melina. Our ability to help clients from strategy through to delivery across the EU and North America is a real competitive advantage."
Jörg Euler, Business Development Manager, added: "We're pleased to see the high level of engagement from invited guests on key industry themes. The General Food Law changes that will come into force in early 2021 will present real issues and opportunities across both the plant protection and biocide industries. TSG’s long-established efficacy and registration competences, supplemented by the expertise of new colleagues who have joined us from industry, means that we are best placed to help clients navigate the current and future regulatory environment and add value to their operations."
